About

Amira Talks was a dream that seemed too far to come true; I never imagined I'd have the courage to own a website, let alone creating everything all by myself.

About me

I'm passionate about life, books, deep talks, and night walks... And rain.

I LOVE being so many people, but only me at the same time. Sounds lunatic, doesn't it?

Books have been my escape whenever I needed social detox (or had an exam and decided to read 700 pages of toxic love instead of studying) and they helped me create my own reality. I loved trying different shoes; cordovan loafers acting like Robert Langdon traveling all over Europe, or as modernly as possible (and as Turkish as possible) in Elif Shafak's adventures as an Ottoman architect, or a simple "Stambouliote" student. Most people start writing when they indulge themselves in reading; it usually happens as a result of too much reading you end up wanting to get all of those books you read out of your mind, into a sheet of paper, wash your hands of it, and let people do whatever they see fit. I, on the other hand, started with writing as a joke, and ended up being joked at by other authors; authors who wrote what I once thought would be my own words.
So here I am, writing to you dear readers, books perceived by me, with my own eyes, with my onw words, hoping for nothing but maybe rediscover myself without those books)

What I do
Whether You're a Bookworm, a beginner reader, or just someone who's into aesthetically pleasing pictures of books, you've found THE place for that.
Reading books and enjoying novels

You know the moment an author hit you with a sentence you’ve been feeling/thinking about all day. Or when you thought about writing it yourself two days ago. Or when the book you’re reading matches the spiritual state you’re currently in. I know for sure that books are far more than just pages gathered together, and I’m here to share my readings with you.

I might not be an author… yet, but I tend to have internal monologs that are sometimes worth sharing.

Currently working on a podcast that might seem like intrusive thoughts at first, but they sure are a form of therapy to me, and they might be as well to you too…
